GLASA Professional Academic Association Membership Fund (2022-23)

In an effort to encourage network building and professional affiliations, the Professional Academic Association Membership fund provides a reimbursement opportunity for membership fees. This fund is open to all current members of GLASA. Reimbursements of $20 CAD will be offered per member. Additional reimbursement may be available pending the availability of funds. GLASA encourages membership affiliation with the Canadian Linguistic Association (CLA) or the American Association of Applied Linguists (AAAL). Applications for this fund must be submitted by March 31, 2023. Members may only receive reimbursement for one membership.

• The AAAL offers student memberships for $50 USD which are valid for 1 year from the date of activation. More information about the membership can be found here: https://www.aaal.org/member-benefits. 

If a PhD member is planning on presenting at or attending a conference other than the CLA or AAAL and a membership is required, the member may apply for reimbursement of the membership to the Professional Academic Association Membership Fund. (Subject to the same $20 CAD minimum/student; 1 membership/student conditions).

If a MA student is planning on presenting at or attending a conference and a membership is required, the member may apply for reimbursement of the membership to the Professional Academic Association Membership Fund. (Subject to the same $20 CAD minimum/student; 1 membership/student conditions).
